The project was the conversion and alteration of stables and a barn into a 4 bedroom split level Court yard development. Having a large existing garden dropping away from the property we decided to opt for a ground source heat pump supplied by Ice Energy, and fitted by Go Sustainable.
The heat pump has been a huge success keeping us warm at times too warm and at a reasonable cost. Now that we have adjusted it to the way we live it is much more comfortable and we presume more cost efficient.
We cannot speak too highly of Go Sustainable and of Franz’s professionalism and competence in installing our ground source heat pump system and his attention to adjusting it to meet our specific needs. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Go Sustainable to any body, excellent job well done.

Heat pump fitted in 2008.
We have recently undertaken a complete refurbishment of The Old Colliery Chapel Bearpark, Durham. We decided to go as ecological as possible and given the age, condition and type of construction of the building this proved difficult and expensive. Plus providing vast amounts of insulation in the roof and walls to make it all worth while.
To help us with our decisions we called in the help and advice of Franz from Go sustainable. Franz recommended that we consider a ground source heat pump, with under floor heating for all our space heating requirements. Advice which I am so pleased we accepted. I can honestly say that I love my heat pump, I live in a warm comfortable home that I can afford to run, and in fact it has turned out to be much cheaper to run than we initially thought it would be. Plus the added benefit of 24hrs a day heating which automatically adjusts itself to the weather conditions is fantastic.
If you are at all interested in visiting to see our installation please contact Franz at Go Sustainable and he will arrange it.
